It took me several goes to get this shot – bees are notoriously busy little things!  Never staying still for more than a split second, I had fun in the sunshine (on an otherwise cool day) in the garden.

I love a city full of bicycles.  There is something sexy about it!  Good on you Brisbane.

Sandy, a friend I made while working in Brisbane recently showed me this amazing looking little bug (and leaf) while wandering through Toohey Forest.  No surprise that I already had a camera in hand to record it!

In Alice Springs only a month or two ago, bush fires spread like a rash over the dry brittle landscape.  From afar, the red glow stained the night sky.

There is no describing the red sand that stretches as far as the eye can see in central Australia.  As the sun rises slowly on the horizon, even the clouds take on the red tones of the earth beneath them.

Waiting for the sunrise has to be one of the magical moments in life.  In Australia’s outback, getting up early is always rewarding.  On this morning the sun rose over Uluru to the east giving Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) a distant mystical light.
